Here she is working on patterning by creating kabobs. She had a lot of fun.
(Isobel 3)
This was an idea I probably got from here or here. Being the simple girl that I am, I bought an acceptable set of flowers from Goodwill and used wire cutters to separate it all. Being the awesome man he is, Ian offered to do the drilling into a narrow mouth jar lid. Now we can have custom made flower arrangements more often. (I plan some extention ideas off of colors and sizes too)
And Everett? A drink now and then, but mainly . . . asleep. All Day!
(Everett 7)
So Isobel and I had even more time for "preschool". Lets count . . .
Here, Isobel is counting food the Hungry Caterpillar ate. If it corresponds to the number on the card, she clips a mini clothes pin onto the happy face. Likewise, if the food does not add up to the number printed on the card, she clips the pin to the sad face (you can find them here). If she is right, her clothes pin will be resting on the yellow star I put there.
This was her response 11 out of 12 times. Daddy was shocked. I was thrilled. Both of us proud.
So with sleeping handsome on the couch, we made dinner. This is my little baker. All the time "Moma can I bake/cook?" Tonight she helped create enchiladas.
